Snow???

This is day two on my return.  Today was different because we woke up to snow all over the ground and it was still falling from the sky.  This kind of snow is a lot more fluffy and wet than the snow storm we had in January.  I call it "polite" snow when it looks pretty, doesn't stick to the roads, and doesn't stay long.

In January, the snow was unreal. And then the ice came and the snow was captive in the ice.  The branches on the trees turned into ice sickles.  We were home straight for 3 days from work but a total of 5 days before we could go anywhere.  Unfortunately the boys will need to make up the school days at the end of the year.  They won't have their last day until June 19th.  Hopefully we won't have to miss any more days because of weather.

I keep hoping for a nice warm Spring day so that I can work in the yard.  I want to plant flowers.  I think working in the yard would be a good thing to help me feel better and more hopeful.  In the meantime, I think about the possibilities.  I also try to discover other ways to be creative.  I believe that being creative helps too.

Kari has been finishing this quarter at the college.  She is ready for it to end.  She does well in these classes... one is a public speaking class and the other is the second half of US History.  She didn't pay attention in high school so learning about American history has opened her eyes.  She has discovered that I know more than she thought too.  It is always nice when your adult child discovers that you are educated.  When she was a teen, I was so dumb.  You know what I mean...

Have a great Wednesday!
