My Grandson Brady

Brady turned seven on February 1.  He is in first grade and is mostly known for being creative.  He is also a very active jumpy kid.  It didn't take long before the teachers were pointing out he has ADHD which runs in our family.  He is in constant motion.  His mind is constantly going.  Our cat Leon is never sure of him and keeps his distance.

Brady is has the most AR books read in his class.  He has now 90 plus books read and took 80 some computer test passed on them.

The person he love the most in this world is him mom.  She can't do wrong.  His whole world is wrapped around her.  I am so glad she is now in recovery so that they will have this time of his life together.  She understands him better too than anyone else.  They have a very special bond.  He loves me too.  He all of a sudden will come up and kiss me.  But he is his mom's little buddy.

Brady love to play DS.  He will trick his mom and she has found him up in the middle of the night playing his DS.  We have to make sure it is out of his reach at night now.
He is a skinny little kid and we try to feed him to get more "meat" on his bones.  His mom tries to feed him ice cream etc.  Right now he is eating a lot of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.  It never seems like he gains an ounce.  We wish we could transfer some of our fat on to him.

Brady is very social.  He will talk to anyone any where at any time.  He loves dogs.  He wishes that we got a dog rather than a cat.  However, our boys hadn't had a pet before and we thought it would be best to start with a cat.  He does have dogs on a DS game where he can own dogs.

Another reason for a cat was that Riley is allergic to dogs.  However, we did find a dog that Riley wasn't allergic to so now Brady is waiting for the day when we get that dog and bring it home.

Brady wants all his clothes to match and he isn't one for getting out into the dirt.  I would say that he might be a business man someday, or someone who works with computers.  He will not be a person who fixes cars or works outside (unless his interest in those things haven't bubbled up).  With as smart as he is he will be able to do anything he wants.

Happy Spring!

  1. Interesting little character study on Brady! That's sweet he loves his mommy so much. That should be a good incentive for her to be there for him. Funny how siblings can be different. But they do look like good buddies. (((Hugz)))
