Kari

Kari has changed so much during the last year.  Her recovery date is October 26th 2010.  She is coming up on 17 months.  It is a miracle really.  Early this month our women's ministry gave Kari a make over for her accomplishment.  They wanted to bless her.  They had her hair done, gave her an outfit and had her nails done.

She has been attending classes at the college.  This week she ends her second quarter.  She took Psych and US History I last quarter, and has Public Speaking and US History II this quarter.  She is enrolled in Geology and English next quarter. 

She works part time at Red Robin during the lunch hours.  She gets the boys on the school bus and gets them off.  Then goes to school in the evening while I watch the boys. 

Kari is hoping to go to Brazil with a team from our church this summer.  She will be the only women going down there to talk to other women there who are in recovery.  As I mentioned before, we are involved with a ministry called NewHeart for recovery.

She isn't interested in dating these days.  She says that men have only got her into trouble.  Maybe someday she will find someone who is just right for her but I think she needs this time to learn about who she is and what she wants.  I am so proud of her.
