Hello Everyone! Do you feel the start of school breathing down your neck? It is mine. Even though Kari and I have the boys ready to start, there is "change" in the air. Maybe you have already had the "start gun" go off where you live. But we are on the edge of it now.
We got back from camping at Mossyrock Park at Mossyrock yesterday. We left Saturday morning and it takes about two hours to drive down to the lake. We got all set up... tent, sleeping bags etc, and then the kids began playing with all the lawn games we had brought.
Let me explain... the kids are our boys and then Riley's twin brother, Darin, and sister, Elaina. They are twelve growing on thirteen. It is nice for them to get together and get to know one another. Their mom, Magenta, and grandmother, Colleen, goes too.
Magenta brings the jet skis (2) and Kari finally got to learn how to drivc one. When we went camping on Memorial Day weekend it was too cold to do anything. They didn't take the jet skis out in the water once. All we could do is wrap up in a blanket. We won't to that again... go camping on Memorial Day weekend. However, Labor Day is warm and the water has had all summer to get warm... so it was a lot better. The only time it got cold was in the middle of the night but we were soon layering our clothes to keep warm (a lesson one learns to use in WA).
Today I have been cleaning up from the camping trip and getting ready for school as I said. I have Brady yet to put in the tub... We will be going to their school this evening to an Open House to see their rooms and meet their teachers. That way we can take all the school supplies and the boys will know what to do in the morning when they get off the bus.
I better get to it. So happy start of school and September. Here we go....
Have a great week!
Nice that you could all go on a camping trip together! Hope the boys like their new teachers and classrooms. Jeff's dad is up in Washington currently for a Coast Guard reunion. They plan to do some sightseeing and visit some big car museum. (((Hugz)))
